How to Choose a Blog Name

Here are some simple tips on choosing that perfect blog name:

1) It should describe your niche: In most cases people will see your link address without having been to the site before. The blog name should match on of the long-tail keywords that you have identified for your blog niche.  Make sure it is a .com or .net address. Other domain tags are slow to being recognized by search engines.

2) It should be easy to remember: Stick with simple names. Avoid dashes and misspelled words in the title. Try to have the name be as concise as possible.

3) It should be equal to the domain name:  This rule is often ignored by newbies. If your blog name and domain name don’t match it will make it much harder for people to return when trying to remember that site of yours they found.
